Prior to joining FOX 2 News, Lange was working for WEYI-TV in Flint, Michigan, where she served as a reporter and anchor from 1996 to 1998. Moreover before joining WEYI, Amy was a news promotion producer as well as an associate news producer at WTVJ in Miami, Florida.

Lange went up the stairs once and got stuck in her heel with her trail growing and she fell to the bottom of the stairs. This lead to her smashing into a wall. After several days, the broken neck that she sustained in the fall was not diagnosed or treated.
