Throughout her career, she has covered numerous incredible stories. The brave men and women at MacDill Air Force Base have taken her on some wild rides. During that time, the Special Operations Command’s Parachute Team took her 12,000 feet up for a skydiving adventure. Moody was the first female civilian to skydive from a CV-22 Osprey. In addition, she rode along with the KC-135 Air Refueling Squadron. Not long ago she got a chance to ride with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, pushing 7Gs and she respects the fighter pilots who fight for and defend their country.
In 2008, she traveled to snowy Philadelphia to cover the run for the World Series and the American League Championship Series. She stood there in three layers of clothing right to the bitter end. Some of her favorite stories to cover are Good Day Grads segments. She shares the stories of high school seniors about to graduate talking about peer pressure and adversity. They profile standout performers and Moody likes to tell the stories of those who have fought hardest to get their diplomas. In addition to that, she works with the March of Dimes as co-chair of the March for Babies.
