Her career began as an intern at a cable station in Palmdale. She however quickly transitioned to a General Assignment reporter. Leticia reported on the kidnapping of two teens from the Antelope Valley. This raised the State’s first Amber Alarm.
2003 saw her getting employed as a producer/general assignment reporter for KMIR-TV in Palm Springs. There she reported on the California wildfires where her own family’s home had been evacuated. Later in 2005, she joined KERO-TV, Bakersfield as a general assignment reporter.
Juarez later moved to Houston, Texas as a morning reporter for KHOU-TV in 2007. She then covered Hurricane Ike as it hit Bayou City in September 2008.
Later in 2009, she joined KIAH-TV. There her reporting on the oil spill from Louisiana earned her a Lone Star Emmy Award for her series on “First Eyes on The Black Tide.” Leticia is delighted to be back in California and reporting in her hometown.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking up her mother’s enchiladas, and trying out new restaurants with her husband.
