Trent Aric Dating, Wife and Children

On April 12th, 2015, Trent married the love of his life, Jacey Birch. Birch works as a WPLG-Channel 10 as a morning news anchor. The two love birds got married in Bora Bora at the Four Seasons Resort. In September 2016, the couple welcomed their first child, Jupiter.

Their son was born with only one functioning kidney. Jacey filed for divorce after being married for 3 years. Birch was previously married to Bobby Consolo until 2013.

Aric graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis where he holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and a Certificate in Journalism. Trent also got a Master’s degree in Geosciences with an emphasis in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Aric began his career at WRBL in Columbus, Ga. where he was a morning and noon meteorologist. In 2014, he worked in South Florida. He began to work the tropics and within his first two years of working at WPLG covered two of the most active hurricane seasons ever in the Atlantic Basin including Hurricane Charley, Katrina, and Wilma.

Aric and hurricane specialist Max Mayfield won an Emmy Award for their hour-long special “Hurricane House Calls” in 2010. He also won an Emmy for the primetime special, “Hurricane Season 2009: Get Ready” and again in December 2008 for “Goin’ Green,” an Earth Day special that highlighted the effects global warming could have on South Florida.

“Goin’ Green” also detailed practical solutions people can use in their daily lives to help reduce their carbon footprint. Trent continued his environmental work in South Florida by volunteering his time with the organization “Dream In Green” and looks forward to helping FOX 4 with their mission of “Protecting Paradise”.
